How accurate is the carb estimate?

It's an estimate. Carbo-AI recognises the food in your photo, estimates the portion, and looks up its nutrition. No app can weigh food through a camera, so treat the number as a starting point, not a lab result. Carb cycling doesn't need a lab: each day has a target range rather than a single number to hit. When the estimate is off, adjust the portion before you save and the day is calculated from your numbers.

What happens to my photos?

Your photo is sent to our servers and on to a third-party AI provider to recognise the food. We don't store meal photos on our servers. The provider doesn't use them to improve its products, and may keep them for a limited period solely to detect abuse. Photos taken with the in-app camera stay only in the app's temporary storage on your phone; photos you pick from your library stay there. Pro cloud backup stores only a reference to it, never the image. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Is Carbo-AI free?

Carbo-AI is free to download. Using it requires a Carbo-AI Pro subscription, billed through the App Store. If a free trial is offered, its length and terms are shown in the App Store listing and in the app before you buy. You can cancel at any time.

How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions, then Carbo-AI.
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current period.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.

I already subscribed, but the app asks me to pay

On the Upgrade to Pro screen, scroll to the bottom and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so this also works on a new phone.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open the Profile tab, tap the gear icon to open Settings, then tap Delete account. Your account and all server-side data — meals, plan, profile, backups and usage events — are deleted immediately, and copies in our encrypted backups expire within 30 days. Data stored only on your phone goes away when you delete the app. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.

Which Apple Health data does it read?

With your permission: active energy, resting energy, steps, weight, body fat percentage and workouts. Access is read-only — the app never writes to Apple Health. You can withdraw access any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Carbo-AI is iPhone-only.
